My Review:
I really love this little town of Serendipity and because we already know the characters and the setting, I think that this little novella works really well. Nick and Kate have felt the draw to each other for a while, but Nick made a HUGE error along the way. He made a play at Faith when she came back to town simply because they'd been involved with each other during high school. Now Kate, who is Faith's best friend, feels like he isn't over his feeling for Faith. She played second fiddle for a guy in college and got her heart crushed. She isn't ready to risk her heart again.

I like how Nick got Faith to help him with Kate. He doesn't know her history doesn't fully realize what he's up against. Luckily for Nick, he has their incredible chemistry on his side and that's hard for Kate to ignore especially when she's trapped with him.

This was a fun little book. It was a quick read and gave me a good romantic fix when I needed one quick and couldn't commit to a huge, long book.

Personally I always wondered what happened to Kate. Having read all the other Serendipity novels I am glad to have closure. Make sure you read all her prior novels in this series and you will love this one.
I really enjoyed reading this story. Since the main characters are characters I was familiar with from the
"Serendipity" series, I found myself feeling like I was reading about people I've met...really cool. You don't
need to have read the series to enjoy reading this story, but if you have you will enjoy it just a little bit more.
Boy likes girl. Girl isscared he's not serious. One talk and boom, HEA. Honestly this should have been a subplot in someone else's book
This book compliments the first in the series. The first book is about Faith and Ethan. This book is about Kate, Faith's best friend. Nick dated Faith in high school but it did not work out. Kate is falling for Nick but does not want to be "2ND choice". In a very short time they risk their friendship to act on their feelings for each other. The short book just warms you up to these 2 main characters before ending. I would rather have seen this as bonus to the first book rather than a stand alone book. It was hardly worth the price (but I will pick up the next real book in the series on Ethan's brother).
Enjoyed the story but it was a very short read. The story was well written and characters could have been more developed over a longer storyline.
The story revolved around two people who have known each other for so long, Kate had a crush on Nick for a long time but he was interested in Kate best friend.When things didn't work out between Nick & Faith (Serendipity book 1) Nick started to notice Kate, however Kate was not interested in being the second best. and declined going out with Nick.

Carly Phillips is an amazing writer who brings characters to life, I really felt for Nick & Kate.

Would recommend for anyone who loves Carly & can read it as a stand alone book, only complaint is it was too short!
Carly Phillips does it again with this short visit to Serendipity. Kate and Nick's story was so sweet. I love how they came together, knowing where they were coming from. This is a story of going after what you want, friendship and love. I wish it was longer. We first meet Kate and Nick in Serendipity, the first book of the series, and I was rooting for them since then. It is hard to love someone and be too scared to tell or show them for fear of rejection, especially if they seem to be panting after your best friend. Hopefully we get to catch up with them both again in Perfect Fit, the first of the next set of books set in Serendipity. If you've never visited, this short read will certainly entice you and make you want to get to know this town and these people.
